My husband and I did 5 individual, private lessons with Kurt and our German Shepherd over the course of 5 weeks. Our shepherd had fear and dominance issues, had zero focus, and was nipping other dogs at the park and pretty much freaking out when we encountered other dogs or people on leash. On our first session, Kurt explained and helped us understand our dog's personality and challenges, and tailored our training sessions to bringing her issues under control. During the first session, Kurt began to show us how to speak her language and communicate that we were her leaders, and we saw immediate changes. We continued to work hard with her and after our 5th session, our dog was healing off leash even around distrations, and sitting immediately upon command at a distance, and even around distractions. She has become a wonderful companion thanks to Kurt's guidance and training. Would recommend him to anyone!

I took my out of control 9 month old German Shorthair to Kurt. Walker was completely uncontrollable and ran in circles when I put him on a leash. Kurt had him for 30 days and he came back a completely different dog. He doesn't even need a leash anymore. Walker heals off leash and listens to both verbal commands and to the whistle. He whoa's on command and is a bird finding fiend. Kurt has my business for any dogs I have in the future and recommend him to anyone without a second thought. Thanks Kurt!

Do Not make the mistake and think this is only Gun Dog Training. Kurt does obedience too. And does it extremely well. He took my 2 year old, head strong, impatient, uncontrollable, drug me across 4 lanes of traffic to say 'hey' to a chihuahua, 135 lb, Rott Mastiff and turned him into the most wonderful dog. I was at my wits end with this dog and was considering getting rid of him as I am 55 and wasn't able to control him in any way.
Emergency room for severe road rash - $820
Medication for severe road rash - $65
Downtime for severe road rash (couldn't wear a shirt) - 8 days
One pissed off dog owner
Down time for training - 1 hour a week
Cost for training - $45 dollars an hour
Hours it took for Evan to do a complete 180 - 3
A dog and an owner who will be forever grateful to Kurt

kurt has trained my gsp twice to help him be a great dog. kurt has never let me down he took a hard head pointer and made him a great hunting dog and household pet.when i get another dog he will go to kurt. when you take a dog to kurt he explains how he does it and shows you how your dog works. i will never have a bad thing to say about how kurt treats your dog when he has your dog to train he treats them like there his

Sierra gun dog is great! Kurt has done a great job with my black lab. Not only has he helped me understand my dogs personality but also how he learns he has also helped me with understanding myself as a handler. My lab has excelled with obedience/gun dog training. If you would have asked me in January that my then 10 week old pup would be working birds and following off leash whistle commands and e-collar at 17 weeks now I would have said no way.I am 100% satisfied with my experience with Kurt and Sierra Gun Dog. With that being said I am certain that my lab will be hunt ready this season. If your a sportsman looking to train up you dog this place is great. Thanks Kurt!
